AJP Motorcycles are an established off-road enduro motorcycle manufacturer based in Portugal. After branching out into the UK, they required a new dedicated UK website that would act as a online catalogue/e-brochure for their bikes, apparel, accessories and technical support documentation/manuals.
This website is a replication from their global Multi-lingual website. Their original Portugese website was built using WordPress and was full of bugs, incorrect translations, contained inconsistent data, incorrect structure and was poorly built. Our web designers were tasked with stripping down the original website, removing obsolete languages, repair poor layouts, improve mobile compatibility, re-building product sections and add the correct text and imagery so that it would look like a comprehensive online brochure.
Whilst building the website, our web designers took to learning intensely about each of the bikes, discovering the different components, livery and specifications. Then having sourced the latest imagery, our web designers re-built the bike pages so that they were jam packed full of information and developed content-rich product pages that would assist with the sales of the bikes.
In addition to this, each page had custom SEO applied and the whole website was tested and optimised for Google. Our marketing team have also assisted them with Social Media advertising and PPC Adwords.
As a second phase, our web developers were tasked with building micro-websites for each of the dealers through using a bespoke WordPress multisite configuration. Each dealer would have a dedicated website with a personalised subdomain (i.e. shop1.ajpmotorcycles.co.uk) specific to their dealership name, whereby they can integrate into their own website. The purpose to this is each micro-site will contain all the bikes, apparel and accessories together with the AJP and Dealership corporate branding. When AJP then update the specification of the bikes, the content is then broadcasted and pushed to each dealership micro-site, therefore updating the websites without the dealers having to update the products themselves. The dealers would then have access to key areas of their micro-sites (i.e. news, special offers, etc).
In 2018, this motorcycle manufacturer had very little web presence in the UK, their bikes were unknown within the biking world. Through this new website and dealership micro-sites, built by our web developers and digital marketing team within several months of launching the website, they already they have seen an increase of bike sales and a continuing surge of online enquiries…. 2019 is looking to be a good year for AJP within the UK.
