Swansea based Blast Kiteboarding is operated by 3x British Kitesurf Champion, Marc Rowley and is the largest kitesurfing school in South Wales which is also becoming one of the leading kitesurf online retailers within the UK.
Blast were using an ancient out of date ecommerce software to drive their website and were in need of a full overhaul of their website as their existing website lacked aesthetics, functionality and did not rended correctly on mobile devices. In addition to this issue, their customer forum was hosted on a remote website which meant that their customers had to visit a different website in order to talk about their products and experiences.
This let to them contacting our design team and requesting a new ecommerce website that drastically improves the aesthetics and functionality beyond their existing online shop to match latest trends of online shopping.
Design of a new eCommerce shop, forum and blog
Our designers drafted up a set of web design visuals for a new custom Magento theme that were approved by the client and then passed on to our web developers, these designs were constructed and built a fully responsive, mobile optimised online shop using the latest Magento ecommerce software. Through bespoke theming and customisation of Magento, we have now developed one of the best kitesurfing websites on the internet.
In addition to the shop, we designed and themed a dedicated forum and WordPress driven blog that was tightly integreated into the website. both the forum and blog were themed to compliment the online shop, to the point where the same product menu was visible whilst browsing the blog.
The new Magento online shop means our customer can access all of their products and easily edit them without fuss. The website has been heavily Search Engine Optimised (SEO) by our search engine experts and orders have been flying in non stop since we launched the site.
