Initially, they had their outdoor pursuits website built by a web developer in Cardiff. They required a web developer in Bridgend and our name was put forward to be the best web developers in Bridgend, so they popped in to see our web guys.
The project brief was to repair a broken WordPress website, upgrade content and apply the latest SEO updates. This web development task was applied rapidly and SEO, rankings and click throughs were monitored
Although the original web developers had applied SEO to the WordPress website, it needed upgrading as google had rolled out some updates over the last few years and the website had lagged behind. The client also wanted to ease back on Google AdWords budget, so with some consultation with our best web developer, the Adwords budget was reduced whilst the SEO was applied.
A key observation was that our client was listed in the top 3 rankings within Search Engines, yet they were also paying for adwords for the pages that they were ranked high, so reducing the PPC budget for those pages (keywords), meant that our web designers could work to improve those search engine rankings, organically, thus in the long term the website would retain its impressions & clickthroughs without the need to advertise on AdWords.
The success of the digital marketing and SEO changes meant that overall website visits reduced slightly, but the quality of web visitors increased, this resulted in the overall web enquiries was maintained, and sales were maintained, yet the client reduced their monthly advertising budget, which in turn resulted in the profits increasing.
